Clearance zine is a publication with gestural drawings of my 3D and 2D work from my latest solo show at the Chicago Art Department. The work draws parallels between government and galleries by creating objects to form language that comments on unseen labor and concepts of discarding. I’m interested in the similarities of construction and art handling occupations and how they surface issues of class and status. The work is informed through my perspective as an art handler, DACA recipient, and a person living in the United States.
