If We Could Vote, We Would! (Wristbands), 2016
PDF File and copy paper
8 ½”x11” full sheet
½”x11” each wristband
2016’s election affected many people who live in the United States. Unfortunately, there are many people who can not vote. From people who have lived here since their childhood arrival to those who are incarcerated. These mock wristbands, referencing “I Voted! Did You?” wristbands that were handed out to people after they voted, are a symbol of our voice that needs to be heard, even after the election.
The wristbands participated in Aram Han Sifuentes’s Official Unofficial Voting Station: Voting for All Who Legally Can'tproject at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art on election day.
