Ready? Set? Go! Typewriting Intervention is our first project as a collective. We are inviting people to typewrite their "call for action" quotes as the design for postcards, then they choose one or all of the 23+ anti-immigrant state capitals in the U.S. they want to send it to. Later the collective will add the address of the capital(s).
We want to give an opportunity for people to speak against the recent immigration decisions in the U.S. This intervention references public official notaries who use typewriters in Mexico City. They assist people who are illiterate to fill out official government forms. Other public desks are used to write letters to love ones.
